Part Two is JUST the walk at St. Xavier. Monica Rebar, one of the Westmoreland Land Trust’s AmeriCorps Service Members, will give a presentation on foraging, followed by an open discussion where she will tell you all about the wonders and dangers of the edible in nature. While self-taught, Monica grew up in the Laurel Highlands and knows the area and its native plants and critters well. Following the discussion, on Saturday, May 17th from 10-11 am, we will visit St. Xavier Nature Preserve in Latrobe (near St. Vincent) to put what we learned to work. All experiences are welcome and encouraged! We can’t wait to see you there!
